Vaco by Highspring has partnered with a rapidly growing logistics organization in the Greater Boston area to identify a Director of Finance. This role is critical for a high-growth, asset-intensive environment, likely backed by private equity, where strategic financial leadership is essential to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
As the Director of Finance, you will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, guiding key business initiatives through robust financial planning and analysis. Your day-to-day will involve leading annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-range planning while managing cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships. You will develop KPI dashboards to monitor performance metrics such as revenue, gross margin, fuel costs, labor utilization, and fleet performance. Additionally, you will analyze transportation routes and customer profitability to identify cost trends and support pricing strategies. Beyond analysis, you will lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team, while driving ERP enhancements and process improvements.
