About the Role
The Director of Emerging Technology Risk serves as a critical second-line defense subject matter expert within the Technology and Information Risk Management organization. This role is established to provide ongoing oversight, assessment, and management of technology and cybersecurity risks associated with the adoption of Cloud, AI, and Digital Assets (such as Blockchain and Crypto) across all operating entities.
You will collaborate across IT, the CISO, Data Office, Operational Risk, and Internal Audit to ensure the safe and sound adoption of emerging technologies. The position requires an excellent understanding of the evolving regulatory landscape in the US and EU. Your day-to-day focus will vary based on program priorities, ranging from planned technical risk reviews and framework development to ad-hoc risk analysis and incident response. You will represent the company's reputation by resolving compliance issues, ensuring adherence to legal standards, and providing independent risk opinions during committee meetings and external exams.
