The Director of Business Development serves as the primary growth engine for an assigned territory. This role is designed to cultivate deep, strategic relationships across the legal ecosystem, connecting with Paralegals, Legal Secretaries, Legal Administrators, Attorneys, and Partners within Law Firms, Corporate Legal departments, and Insurance accounts. The position focuses on expanding the client portfolio by managing existing accounts while simultaneously driving new business acquisition.
In this capacity, you will act as a trusted advisor, demonstrating expert product knowledge and guiding clients through pricing models and proposal strategies. Beyond sales, the role involves training clients on the effective use of litigation support tools and assisting in the implementation of company marketing initiatives. Success in this position requires a proactive approach to sourcing referrals and maintaining rigorous records of all sales activities while adhering to high standards of business ethics.
We seek a dynamic individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and hit the ground running. A proven track record of achieving sales quotas and possessing reliable transportation with a clean driving record are essential. While experience in the Legal Vertical is highly valued, a Juris Doctor (JD) is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills alongside strong interpersonal abilities to foster collaboration across the organization.
