Key Responsibilities
- check_circleOwn F1 fiber planning strategy across assigned markets by integrating tenant demand and growth forecasts
- check_circleDirect development of end-to-end F1 plans including backbone, feeder, distribution, and interconnection points
- check_circleLead and mentor a team of Senior Fiber Planners performing GIS-based market-driven planning
- check_circleSet planning standards and review processes to ensure consistency, quality, and constructability of outputs
- check_circleServe as senior technical interface for wholesale fiber tenants to translate requirements into planning strategies
- check_circlePartner with finance, real estate, engineering, and construction to align plans with budgets and execution capabilities
- check_circleOversee high-level cost modeling, feasibility analysis, and scenario development across competing network strategies
- check_circleSupport capital planning and investment committee decision-making with defensible, data-driven plans
- check_circleGuide lease versus build versus buy evaluations for third-party fiber, joint builds, and acquisition opportunities
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Planning, GIS, or related field
- verified10+ years of experience in fiber network planning or telecommunications strategy
- verified5+ years of people leadership experience
- verifiedStrong understanding of fiber network architecture and outside plant design
- verifiedExperience interfacing with external customers on technical topics
- verifiedFluency with ESRI ArcGIS Pro, 3GIS, or comparable fiber-planning platforms
- verifiedE-Verify work authorization in the United States
Nice to Have
Experience supporting open-access or wholesale fiber business models. Fluency with ESRI ArcGIS Pro, 3GIS, or comparable fiber-planning platforms. Experience supporting large-scale market expansion programs or multi-tenant network strategies. Prior accountability for capital-intensive infrastructure planning decisions.
