As a Data Scientist at Capital One, you will be part of a team leading the next wave of disruption at a whole new scale. We operate across billions of customer records to unlock big opportunities that help everyday people save money, time, and agony in their financial lives.
The External Data Strategy team builds the data pipelines, advanced analytics, and models that enable Capital One to understand our customers' financial lives. We lead the full data lifecycle from sourcing new data and designing feature pipelines to providing support to data users across the business.
In this Director role, you will serve as a leader-of-leaders for a team of 10-15 data scientists. You will set a strategic agenda, provide technical oversight, and develop talented individual contributors and managers. Your day will involve partnering with cross-functional teams of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver insights that drive the business. You will flex your interpersonal skills to translate the complexity of your work into tangible business goals, ensuring we make the right decisions for our customers.
