About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Social Impact, the Director of Community Investment & Grantmaking will join a team dedicated to leveraging Yoga Alliance's financial and human resources to achieve strategic goals. This role focuses on making yoga more widely available to people everywhere, guided by the organization's strategic plan.

The successful candidate will partner with the Head of Social Impact to envision the design of Yoga Alliance's work, with two primary goals: implementing yoga community grantmaking in alignment with strategic objectives, and embedding yoga within institutions and policies. This individual will translate this ambitious vision into action, starting with a community grantmaking program as part of a broader strategy to inventory and deploy the organization's full slate of resources. The role involves leading the implementation, monitoring, continuous improvement, and expansion of this work.

As a thought partner to the Head of Social Impact, the Director will serve as an expert advisor on cutting-edge strategies to invest for social change. This position requires internal collaboration across teams to ensure strategic integration with other initiatives, as well as external collaboration with parties working to integrate yoga into non-studio settings and contexts.
