The Director of Business Development drives revenue growth and strategic partnerships by identifying, cultivating, and securing new business opportunities, while also expanding relationships with existing clients. This role leads the development and execution of business development strategies that align with MedPharm's overall vision, particularly within pharmaceutical drug development and commercial manufacturing.
Operating with a high level of independence and cross-functional collaboration, you will play a key role in shaping MedPharm's business development process and market positioning. You will oversee proposal preparation and presentations of the Company's capabilities, programs, and services, ensuring a cost-effective approach that maintains an acceptable level of quality. This position requires a proactive approach to establishing the Company's business development process and assisting with expert consultation activities.
MedPharm operates at the intersection of drug development and commercial manufacturing. As the Director of Business Development, you will serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, aligning BD strategies with corporate goals and sharing critical market trends. You will collaborate closely with Proposal Writers, Technical Teams across all stages of development and manufacturing, Project Managers, and Quality departments to ensure seamless execution of our capabilities.
This role involves significant travel, estimated at 75%, to attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our services and identify new leads. The position requires the ability to stand for extended periods and may involve lifting up to 20kg as part of the physical demands of the job.
Candidates should possess a B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related discipline, with an MBA preferred.
