Our Mercer and Auglaize County office is seeking caring individuals to join our Direct Support Professional team. As essential employees, you will work with people of all ages in home, work, and community settings through residential programs, employment services, and more. About the Role
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP/CNA/Care Giver/Home Health Aide), you will positively impact the lives of individuals just like you. No prior experience is necessary; successful applicants will attend paid training to obtain required certifications and learn on-the-job.
This role is about more than just tasks; it is about building genuine connections. You will develop a mentorship relationship with your client, becoming a trusted figure they look up to. Your day will involve 1-on-1 personalized care, from hanging out and watching movies to playing video or board games. You may accompany clients to sporting events or van rides, helping them participate in meaningful community activities. Your goal is to teach skills that increase independence, such as eating, cooking, and bathing, while ensuring a safe and clean home environment.
