About the Role

As a Direct Support Associate, you will provide compassionate, person-centered care to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This on-site role is designed to assist clients with daily living, community integration, and skill-building while actively promoting their dignity, independence, and safety. You will serve as a vital link in their care journey, following individualized care plans and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of clinical staff, support workers, families, and community partners to coordinate services effectively.

Your Day-to-Day

In this position, you will be the face of our mission, ensuring that every interaction upholds the rights, choices, and inclusion of the individuals you support. Your day will involve assisting with personal care tasks, hygiene, meals, and mobility, all while maintaining a focus on independence. You will facilitate community integration through social activities and skill-building exercises tailored to each person's unique service plan. Additionally, you will monitor and document changes in behavior, health, and goal progress using electronic records, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, infection control standards, and state regulations regarding medication administration.
