As a Digital Design and MBD/MBE Engineer, you will play a vital role in enabling the delivery of the Group Engineering, Technology & Safety (ET&S) Strategy. Situated within the Digital Design and Industrialization (DD&I) Team, this position offers a unique opportunity to grow technically while driving forward the Product Definition Capability.
Your focus will be on expanding Siemens NX functionality across the Rolls-Royce organization. You will bridge the gap between design and manufacturing by developing CAD geometric feature automations to enhance global modeling efficiency. This involves collaborating with manufacturing engineering to create Product Definition Master Models that meet the needs of both disciplines. Additionally, you will own the tactical MBD solution globally, managing related processes and guidance materials while supporting LOTAR, MBD, and NX Open to extend system capabilities.

This role is based in Indianapolis, IN, with a hybrid working pattern. We offer a locally managed, flexible arrangement where employees balance time between the office, home, or other remote locations. As a minimum, team members are expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and specific reasons on average three days per week.

Experience with automation of geometric feature creation (authoring and user proficiency), data analysis, and quality assurance of product definitions. Strong communication, influencing, and coordination skills, including working internally on a global landscape and supporting industry organizations (ASME, SME, etc.). Highly numerate with good technical and analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and systems level thinking. Appropriate engineering experience in conceptual and detail design, detail definition methods, and a good understanding of manufacturing techniques (Design for Manufacturability).

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years experience; Master's degree in Engineering; PhD in Engineering.
