The Digital Content & Social Media Specialist serves as a vital creative resource for the Marketing and Communications team at Pierpont Community & Technical College. This position is dedicated to crafting high-quality, original storytelling that amplifies the College's mission in marketing, recruitment, and public engagement.
You will act as the bridge between academic programs, Student Services, and the broader campus community, translating institutional priorities into compelling visual narratives. From capturing on-location video and photography to producing short-form social content, your work will bring the experiences of students, faculty, and workforce training initiatives to life. This role is essential for maintaining a vibrant digital presence that resonates with prospective students, current learners, and the local community.
Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will collaborate closely with a diverse group of partners across the Fairmont campus and regional locations. The team works to ensure that every piece of content aligns with the College's strategic marketing plan, brand standards, and messaging goals. You will be embedded in the daily rhythm of campus life, coordinating with academic departments to highlight program strengths and supporting major milestones through visual documentation.
This role is based at the Pierpont Advanced Technology Center in Fairmont, West Virginia. While the position includes office-based planning and asset management, a significant portion of the day involves active, on-location work. The environment is collegial and respectful, valuing the contributions of all staff within the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission and the Community and Technical College System.
Interested candidates should submit their application through the official Pierpont Community & Technical College portal. The position is open from May 12, 2026, through May 26, 2026, or until filled.
