This position serves as a vital support link between clinical nutrition care and daily food service operations. Working under the supervision of a registered dietitian, the role ensures that patients receive meals that align with their specific dietary prescriptions and care plans. The position is essential for maintaining nutritional safety and quality, bridging the gap between medical assessment and the kitchen's execution.
In this role, you will screen admitted patients to identify those at nutritional risk and gather dietary histories. You will modify daily menus based on patient needs, assist in the production of accurate meal trays, and communicate critical information regarding diet changes, allergies, or complaints to kitchen staff. Additionally, you will provide basic medical nutrition therapy to low-risk patients and assist in the training and orientation of new department employees.
Candidates are expected to hold an Associate Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics and possess 1-3 years of relevant experience. The selection process focuses on verifying these qualifications and assessing the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare environment.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
