Under the direct supervision of the Dietary Manager, the Dietary Aide plays a vital role in our long-term care facility. This position is essential for ensuring residents receive nutritious meals and snacks while maintaining a safe and sanitary environment in the kitchen and dining areas.
The role requires a collaborative spirit, as you will interact positively with residents, families, and regulatory agencies. You will work alongside staff at all levels to uphold our commitment to resident-centered care, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity. Success in this position involves adapting to the dynamic needs of a healthcare setting, often working under pressure to ensure consistent attendance and timely meal service.
You will work within a long-term care facility, engaging with residents who have varying levels of care needs. The schedule may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts to meet the operational demands of the facility.
Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. This includes the ability to read, write, and speak fluent English to communicate effectively with our community.
