The Role

This position serves as a vital support pillar for our fleet operations, ensuring the reliability and safety of our heavy and light-duty trucks. You will work closely with drivers and technicians to maintain our vehicles, performing preventative maintenance on gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems. Your day will involve assisting drivers with daily post-trip and vehicle safety inspections, conducting safety checks during safety lanes, and executing scheduled lubrication and repair tasks.

Beyond routine maintenance, you will perform basic repairs on various service vehicles, including rear load, front load, roll-off, grapple, and porta-potty trucks. A key part of your role involves communicating vehicle issues to A & B technicians and discussing preventative techniques to minimize future repairs. You will also manage required paperwork and computer data entry, documenting parts usage and time in a timely manner.

Work Environment

The normal setting for this role is both inside and outside the shop, with occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions. The position requires physical stamina for a steady work pace, including the ability to frequently bend, twist, reach, and lift heavy objects. You will be expected to utilize all mandated Personal Protective Equipment and may be exposed to chemical and residential waste.
