About the Role
This position serves as a vital support pillar within our maintenance operations, bridging the gap between drivers and our technical teams. You will be essential in ensuring the reliability and safety of our heavy-duty and light-duty fleet, including gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems. Your day-to-day impact involves actively assisting drivers through the critical post-trip and vehicle safety inspection processes, ensuring every vehicle is road-ready.
Beyond direct support, you will conduct comprehensive safety checks during safety lanes and preventative maintenance (PM) sessions. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work area, performing basic repairs on various truck types such as rear load, front load, roll-off, grapple, and porta-pot units, and utilizing factory service manuals to guide your work. Effective communication with A & B technicians and drivers is key, as you will discuss vehicle issues and preventative techniques to minimize future repairs. This role requires a high standard of ethics, dependability, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment that includes both indoor shop work and outdoor road calls in varying weather conditions.
