Maximus Technology and Consulting Services (TCS) delivers critical solutions to government and commercial clients, focusing on secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure. This role sits within a specialized team dedicated to advancing DevSecOps practices, ensuring that security is embedded into every stage of the development and operations lifecycle.
As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will serve as a pivotal link between development, security, and operations. Your mission is to fortify our security posture while accelerating deployment velocity. You will not only manage incident response, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing but also drive the automation of security frameworks to replace manual, error-prone processes.
In this position, you will design and implement automated application security testing tools, helping teams leverage security features effectively. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of network security, including the setup and monitoring of proxy servers, firewalls, and access controls. A key part of your day involves diagnosing root causes of security issues using advanced monitoring tools, applying patches to DevOps tooling, and maintaining comprehensive operations runbooks to prevent recurring incidents.
You will also conduct risk assessments, perform security code reviews, and coordinate change requests to ensure seamless integration of new technologies. By researching cloud site reliability engineering trends, you will continuously evolve our infrastructure to meet the rigorous demands of USAF IT systems and platforms.
Candidates selected for this role must possess an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility. The interview process typically involves a review of technical qualifications, a discussion of past security and automation projects, and a verification of clearance status. Final candidates will be assessed on their ability to collaborate across teams and their strategic approach to DevSecOps implementation.
