Reporting to the Senior Director of Advancement, the Development Manager serves as a strategic leader within our Advancement team. This role is designed to drive measurable and sustainable growth in the Zoo's fundraising capabilities. You will be the operational backbone of our development department, directly supervising the Development Specialist and collaborating closely to ensure the integrity and effective use of our donor database and systems.
In this position, you will lead the strategy and execution of our annual and restricted giving initiatives. Your day-to-day involves overseeing the acquisition and renewal of donors, managing online and crowd-sourced fundraising campaigns, and cultivating strong relationships with volunteers and board members. You will work at the intersection of data and storytelling, using insights to refine our donor stewardship communications and ensure every interaction strengthens the bond between the Zoo and its supporters. By driving efficiency and accountability, you will help the Senior Director implement broader fundraising strategies that secure the Zoo's future.
