About the Role
RCS Staffing has an immediate need for multiple Designers to support utility make-ready design projects in Lakewood, CO. This is a full-time, office-based contract-to-permanent assignment offering a competitive hourly rate, hands-on training, and long-term growth opportunities.
In this role, you will review field data, evaluate compliance with current standards, and develop design solutions for failed structures. You will work closely with a team of designers and project managers to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables. The position typically involves managing multiple design projects with a 14-day turnaround time, requiring you to remain flexible and pivot as project needs change.
Training & Development
Day one begins with shadowing and orientation. The Project Manager will provide foundational training and an overview of the design process. Designers will work in a collaborative design lab environment, learning side-by-side with peers through hands-on instruction, design manuals, and one-on-one mentoring. Ongoing guidance is provided to ensure priorities and deadlines are clearly defined. Future training opportunities include pole-load analysis.
