Location & Requirements
This role is based in Clarence, NY 14031. Candidates must have reliable transportation to commute to the site.
About the Role
As a Design Drafter, you will prepare detailed working diagrams for the manufacturing of internal or external products, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information. You will work directly with customers to understand and define their needs through quotations, meetings, and presentations, translating their requests into precise prints.
You will collaborate closely with the engineering manager on product development, assist the shop floor, manufacturing, quality, and planning teams, and handle product changes or issues as they arise. The role requires working from rough sketches and specifications to identify potential issues and redesign products to improve functionality.
Work Environment
This position requires working safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be expected to work overtime, including weekends, as requested. When on the shop floor, you must wear personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and steel-toed shoes or boots.
