The Route Service Representative is a revenue-generating partner responsible for servicing Morgan's target customers on a designated route. Reporting to the Service/Branch Manager or Supervisor, this role is critical for maintaining the company's profit margins and ensuring customer satisfaction through proactive relationship management.
In this position, you will act as the primary point of contact for your route, focusing on retaining the customer base by renewing contracts and building lasting rapport. Your day-to-day involves managing inventory levels at customer locations, communicating the full value of Morgan's services and products, and driving a company truck to deliver on promises. You will work closely with sales and production departments to ensure new accounts are integrated smoothly and that the company's sampling system effectively drives revenue growth.
We are looking for a service-focused individual with a keen eye for detail and a confident, authoritative communication style. You should be comfortable engaging in face-to-face interactions, capable of building strong relationships with both external and internal customers, and possess the curiosity to uncover issues before they become problems. As a self-starter, you will be expected to seek alternative solutions for complex challenges, challenge existing processes when necessary, and maintain a high sense of urgency and follow-through.
This role requires physical capability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly, a disciplined and trustworthy approach to company resources, and comfort with technology. You must be organized, efficient with your time, and willing to take calculated risks to achieve high-reward results.
To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a current driver's license with a good driving record. All successful applicants are required to successfully pass a hair follicle drug test, a background check, and a DOT physical.
