About the Role
FedEx is seeking dedicated Delivery Drivers to safely operate delivery vehicles and bring packages to residential and commercial customers. This role is essential to our mission of providing reliable, timely service to our customers. As a driver, you will be the face of the company, representing FedEx with professionalism and care while working independently throughout the day.
Day in the Life
Your day begins with preparing for the route ahead. You will be responsible for loading packages into delivery vehicles, ensuring they are secure and organized for efficient delivery. Once on the road, you will follow assigned routes to deliver packages to homes and businesses. A key part of your day involves using handheld scanners to track and confirm deliveries, track, and confirm each delivery, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
Communication is vital to the smooth operation of your route. You will stay in touch with dispatch to report on route progress and handle any logistical updates. Throughout the day, you will perform vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
