Job Description
About the Role
FedEx is seeking dedicated Delivery Drivers to safely operate delivery vehicles and deliver packages to residential and commercial customers on assigned routes. This position is designed for individuals who can work independently throughout the day while representing the company with a professional appearance.
Day in the Life
As a FedEx Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for loading packages into delivery vehicles and following assigned delivery routes. Your day involves delivering packages to homes and businesses, obtaining signatures when required, and using handheld scanners to track and confirm deliveries. You will communicate with dispatch regarding route progress and ensure that daily delivery quotas and schedules are met.
Safety and compliance are central to the role. Drivers must follow company safety policies, delivery procedures, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations when applicable. This includes performing vehicle inspections before and during shifts to ensure all equipment is in safe working order.
