About the Role

FedEx is seeking dedicated Delivery Drivers to safely operate delivery vehicles and bring packages to residential and commercial customers. This role is essential to our mission of ensuring timely and reliable delivery experiences for our customers. Drivers will work independently throughout the day, managing assigned routes and maintaining professional standards while representing the company.

Day in the Life

As a FedEx Delivery Driver, your day begins with preparing for the route ahead. You will be responsible for loading packages into delivery vehicles, ensuring they are securely placed for transport. Once on the road, you will follow assigned delivery routes, navigating to homes and businesses to drop off packages. A key part of your day involves using handheld scanners to track and confirm each delivery, obtaining signatures when required, and communicating with dispatch to provide updates on your progress and any potential delays.

Safety and compliance are at the core of your daily operations. You must adhere to company safety policies, delivery procedures, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. This includes performing vehicle inspections to ensure the delivery vehicle is in safe working condition before and during your shift. Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor is also essential, as you are the face of FedEx for many customers.
