About the Role

FedEx is seeking dedicated Delivery Drivers to safely operate delivery vehicles and deliver packages to residential and commercial customers on assigned routes. This position is designed for individuals who can work independently throughout the day, ensuring timely and professional service to homes and businesses. Drivers serve as the face of the company, maintaining a professional appearance while representing FedEx division or contractor.

Day in the Life

As a FedEx Delivery Driver, your day involves loading packages into delivery vehicles and following assigned routes to ensure efficient delivery. You will be responsible for delivering packages to homes and businesses, obtaining signatures when required, and using handheld scanners to track and confirm deliveries. Communication with dispatch regarding route progress is essential to meet daily delivery quotas and maintain delivery schedules.

Safety and Compliance

Safety is a core value at FedEx. Drivers must strictly follow company safety policies, delivery procedures, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations when applicable. This includes performing vehicle inspections before and after shifts. Adherence to these protocols ensures the safety of the driver, the public, and the integrity of the delivery process.
