Day in the Life

As a FedEx Delivery Driver, your day begins with loading packages into your delivery vehicle and reviewing your assigned route. You will navigate through neighborhoods and business districts, delivering packages to homes and offices and residences. A key part of your responsibility involves using handheld scanners to track and confirm each delivery, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. You will also be responsible for obtaining signatures when required and maintaining clear communication with dispatch regarding your route progress.

Beyond the deliveries, safety and vehicle maintenance are central to the role. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the delivery vehicle is in safe operating condition. Throughout the day, you must adhere to company safety policies, delivery procedures, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. regulations when applicable. Meeting daily delivery quotas and maintaining your delivery schedule are essential to keeping operations running smoothly.
