As a Box Truck Driver, you will be the face of our company, delivering a great customer experience through timely, accurate, and friendly transport services. You will utilize a company-owned vehicle (18ft-26ft) to deliver both perishable and non-perishable products to their destinations, bringing products into facilities, presenting bills, and collecting payments. This role is essential to ensuring our supply chain moves smoothly between manufacturing plants, retail locations, and distribution centers.
Your day will involve more than just driving; you will be responsible for greeting customers with prompt and courteous service, maintaining clear communication with associates and management, and ensuring all orders are loaded and secured safely. You will also play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to strict sanitation and quality assurance standards for all work surfaces and equipment.
Safety and compliance are at the heart of this position. You will be required to maintain valid documentation for your vehicle, adhere to all traffic regulations, and follow the company's HAZCOM program for the safe use of chemical products. In the event of an accident, you will be expected to document the scene immediately and file the necessary reports. Additionally, you will maintain a driver's log in accordance with hours-of-service rules and participate in annual safety training.
Candidates for this position must be willing to submit to background and drug checks. The selection process includes passing a drug and alcohol test, as well as a medical examination. We look for individuals who are adaptable and can handle unexpected situations such as traffic or weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
