About the Role

As a CDL Driver, you will be the backbone of our emergency response and remediation efforts. This role goes beyond simply operating heavy equipment; it involves safely and compliantly managing various vehicles with a gross vehicle weight over 26,000 pounds, including roll-off trucks, tractor-trailers, liquid vacs, turbo vacs, box trucks, and rack trucks with trailers.

Your day will be dynamic, often requiring you to respond to environmental spills, perform manual labor, and execute site cleanup activities. You will work alongside hazmat technicians, utilizing equipment such as pressure washers and vacuum systems. The role demands versatility, as you may be tasked with confined space entry, shoveling, digging, and the safe handling, packaging, and transportation of hazardous materials and waste. Whether you are loading and unloading supplies, maintaining equipment, or interacting with customers, your actions ensure that environmental incidents are managed efficiently and safely.

Working Conditions

This position is primarily outdoor work, often in potentially adverse conditions such as rain, mud, rocky soils, snow, ice, and extreme temperatures. You will be expected to drive in all-weather conditions, occasionally navigating off-pavement terrain with tankers and roll-off trucks. The role requires physical stamina to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and lift over 50 pounds routinely, as well as the ability to work flexible or extended hours, including rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays. Occasional out-of-town travel may be required depending on service center needs and ongoing projects.
