About the Role
As a Delivery Driver, you will be the face of Performance Food Group on the road. Based out of our local distribution center, your mission is to safely operate company vehicles to deliver food and related products to restaurants, retail locations, and vending customers on scheduled routes. This role is vital for maintaining the supply chain and ensuring our clients receive their orders accurately and on time.
Your day will involve more than just driving; you will be responsible for accurate loading and unloading, verifying orders, and maintaining detailed delivery documentation. You will use routing tools and GPS to optimize delivery sequences while handling products with care to minimize damage, loss, and returns. Throughout your route, you will represent our values by providing professional and friendly customer service at every stop. Additionally, you will inspect vehicles daily, report any maintenance or safety issues, and strictly adhere to DOT, company, and food safety regulations.
