Candidates must hold a valid Class A CDL, be at least 21 years old, and possess a minimum of three months of driving experience. Applicants must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test. Specific driving record requirements include no more than one CMV on-road preventable accident in the last two years, no major CMV preventable accidents in the last five years, no more than two moving violations in the last two years, and no DUI/DWI within the past five years (or 10 years if the offense occurred while holding a CDL). Drivers with drug-related convictions within the past five years (or 10 years if holding a CDL) or positive/refused tests in the past 10 years with a CDL-A/CLP are not eligible.
