The Dealer Relationship Manager (DRM) serves as the strategic bridge between Stellantis Financial Services (SFS) and the network of Stellantis (STLA) OEM automobile dealerships. This role is critical for driving product penetration across indirect auto finance retail installment and lease contracts, commercial fleet accounts, and floor plan opportunities. The DRM acts as the primary point of contact, ensuring that dealership operations align with corporate objectives while optimizing approval rates and funding efficiency.
You will function as both a consultant and a partner, delivering targeted training to dealership staff to increase application volumes and guiding sales and finance managers through complex credit guidelines. The position requires a dynamic balance between remote strategic planning and an active field presence, as you will manage a territory in Richmond, VA, and/or eastern Virginia. Success in this role depends on your ability to build lasting relationships, analyze market trends to identify opportunities, and collaborate closely with internal credit and funding departments to resolve contract issues.
This position operates on a hybrid model, requiring employees to work remotely from a home office while maintaining a significant field presence to support a large dealer base. Travel is a core component of the role, expected to range between 25% and 60% of the time, which may include overnight trips to meet dealer demands. The work schedule is flexible to accommodate business needs, typically falling between 8 AM and 6 PM Monday through Friday, with availability on weekends as required. Overtime may be necessary on an as-needed basis.
Candidates selected for this role must be located within a commutable distance to Richmond, VA, and/or eastern Virginia. Upon hire, successful candidates are required to complete the Dealer Centered Selling Certification program. The selection process focuses on identifying individuals with a proven track record in automotive indirect lending who can immediately contribute to relationship building and operational efficiency.
