About the Role
This position serves as a critical bridge between Apexon and Mastercard, focusing on the architecture and management of Mastercard's Postgres database environments. As a Mastercard Database Architect, you will set the direction for enterprise leadership by designing and building highly available, scalable, and efficient solutions that adhere to strict standards and security policies.
You will act as a subject matter expert for EDB Postgres, Postgres Distributed (PGD), and AWS relational database services. Your day-to-day involves representing the Database Engineering team in strategic planning, contributing to technology roadmaps, and collaborating with global teams across multiple time zones. The role requires a forward-thinking approach to infrastructure automation, where you will lead best practices, define long-term strategic goals, and drive innovation in both internal and future cloud-managed Postgres systems.
