About the Role

We are seeking a Postgres Database Administrator Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a critical federal program in Washington, DC. In this capacity, you will serve as the technical authority for enterprise-level PostgreSQL environments, leading the design, implementation, optimization, and security of mission-critical systems. This role is vital for guiding database strategies, ensuring performance tuning, and driving compliance initiatives within a high-stakes federal context.

As the primary SME, you will coordinate changes to computer databases and implement robust security measures to safeguard sensitive data. Your day-to-day work involves providing architectural guidance and best practices while managing complex database clusters, including high availability and disaster recovery setups. You will be instrumental in troubleshooting outages, optimizing query performance, and automating administrative tasks to maintain the integrity and efficiency of our clients' data infrastructure.
