About the Role
We are seeking a Data Scientist Associate to join a major financial institution in McLean, VA. In this 24-month onsite contract, you will partner with diverse stakeholders to influence critical business decisions through data-driven insights. Your mission is to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences, codify existing methodologies into functional code, and build automation dashboards using SAS, Python, and React libraries. You will support line-of-business areas with advanced statistical and quantitative analysis, running models to identify exceptions and drive corrective actions.

Requirements
- verified3 years of analytical quantitative or portfolio experience
- verified3+ years hands-on software development using Python and/or Java
- verifiedFront end focus with modern Angular (version 16 and up)
- verifiedExperience in SAS development
- verifiedExpertise in SQL and databases (Sybase, Oracle or UDB)
- verifiedProficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
