The Scientific Computing and Data team at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai partners with scientists and clinicians to accelerate scientific discovery. Our expert team of 20+ PhD/MD computational scientists, biomedical informaticists, and computer scientists works to effectively and efficiently utilize high-performance resources for translational science.
We are proud to be part of the Mount Sinai Health System, one of the largest academic medical systems in the New York metro area. With over 48,000 employees across eight hospitals, 400+ outpatient practices, and leading schools of medicine and nursing, we advance health for all people by tackling complex healthcare challenges through innovation, education, and high-quality care.
The Data Product Manager III is a senior technical specialist responsible for developing the ongoing strategy, roadmap, and data-related features for the AI-Ready.Mount Sinai (AIR·MS) platform. This role exists to bridge the gap between complex data infrastructure and the researchers who rely on it. You will understand the unique needs of researchers utilizing AIR·MS, prioritize data-related features for maximal user satisfaction and research impact, and align stakeholders to ensure implementation strategies are executed on scope and schedule.
AIR·MS is a cloud-based, high-performance SAP HANA data platform containing electronic health record (EHR) data in OMOP format, alongside metadata and links to raw datasets in radiology, genomics, and pathology. It integrates with Minerva, a high-performance computer with over 21 petaflops of raw computational power. As the Data Product Manager III, you will work collaboratively with the AIR·MS data platform team, institutional partners, and technology partners at the Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam, Germany, and the non-profit Data4Life. Your day will involve translating complex user needs into clear technical requirements, defining product metrics, and ensuring our data solutions are optimized for scientific impact while maintaining rigorous standards for privacy and security.
