As a Resiliency Readiness Coordinator (RRC), you will serve as the Substance Abuse subject matter expert within your assigned State Army National Guard. This role is critical to maintaining the health and readiness of the force, requiring you to directly supervise and manage the Army National Guard Substance Abuse Program (SAP) and Suicide Prevention Program (SPP) at the state level. You will act as a key liaison between the National Guard, state leadership, and community-based providers, ensuring that prevention strategies are effectively implemented and that service members receive the support they need.
In this position, you will be a vital member of the Commander's Readiness and Resiliency Council (CR2C) and the Adjutant General's Alcohol and Drug Intervention Council (ADIC). Your day-to-day work involves establishing and maintaining positive relationships with State Points of Contact, managing complex case files from initial referral to final disposition, and creating data-driven Risk Mitigation Plans for unit commanders. You will also lead training initiatives and provide high-level briefings to diverse audiences, ensuring compliance with national directives while fostering a culture of resilience.
Qualified candidates will be evaluated based on their professional instruction skills, ability to work with various audiences, and experience in substance abuse and suicide prevention. The role requires flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekends when state units conduct training. Candidates must be willing to travel within the state as duties require.
