We are seeking a Data Platform Engineer to join a client of Innova Solutions in Charlotte, NC. This is a full-time contract position with a duration of 12+ months, offering the possibility of extension or conversion. The role is hybrid, requiring on-site presence in Charlotte.
The primary objective of this position is to design, build, and secure a scalable data private cloud platform leveraging Kubernetes and OpenShift. You will be instrumental in the platform's buildout, ensuring it is fully operational, secure, observable, and ready to support downstream applications and enterprise customers. While the role focuses heavily on core engineering and platform construction, you will also support tenant enablement, observability implementation, and compliance control alignment based on capacity needs.
A key component of this role involves enabling the onboarding of 70 tenant applications onto the platform. You will define access models, manage resource allocation, and configure environment setups to support multi-tenant data workloads. Additionally, you will partner with cross-functional teams, including networking, security, and infrastructure groups, to support solutioning, requirements definition, and the acceleration of deliverables.
Context & Differentiators
This role supports "Context NexusOne," a new and emerging product that serves as a strong differentiator for the client. While experience with NexusOne is a strong plus, it is not a requirement; candidates without this specific experience are expected to possess strong expertise in OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Linux. The platform will require robust configuration of foundational infrastructure, including firewalls and load balancing, in preparation for an enterprise data center migration.
Qualified candidates should apply immediately for consideration. This position is open only to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis. Please submit your application to provide the required information, and we will be in touch as soon as possible. We are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar positions.
If this specific role is not a fit, we offer a referral bonus program for successful referrals. For more details on how to participate, please reach out directly.
