About the Team
This role supports a critical Platform Engineering team dedicated to stabilizing, scaling, and operating applications as they transition toward production release. The team plays a pivotal role in post-deployment, ensuring reliability, performance, and operational excellence across a portfolio of applications. This is not traditional infrastructure support; it is application-focused production engineering that requires deep technical expertise, proactive issue prevention, and strong ownership of application health in cloud environments.
About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Engineer to backfill a key contractor position within the Platform Engineering team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) professional who is Day 1 ready to operate in fast-paced, production-critical environments. You will seamlessly balance multiple priorities while leading production support efforts for a portfolio of 20+ applications.
Your day-to-day will involve designing advanced monitoring and observability dashboards, proactively identifying risks through anomaly detection, and troubleshooting complex issues across distributed microservices environments. You will drive the adoption of modern SRE practices, including automation and AIOps, while mentoring engineers to elevate team capabilities. As a trusted technical leader, you will collaborate closely with development teams during release cycles and participate in a monthly on-call rotation, demonstrating urgency and ownership during incidents.
