The Data Foundations team is seeking a Data Engineer ready to own meaningful work from end to end. In this role, you will design and deliver production-grade data pipelines, ensuring the data your team ships is trustworthy, well-defined, and ready for impact. You will actively leverage AI tools like Claude to move faster and build smarter, bringing solid engineering fundamentals and an AI-first mindset to everything you create.
You will architect and implement ELT/ETL pipelines using Databricks and dbt, building robust data workflows on Azure to support both batch and near-real-time use cases. Your ownership extends to data quality and reliability; you will define schemas, freshness SLAs, and ownership boundaries so that downstream consumers, including the Reporting team, can depend on your output.
Beyond building, you will write clean, testable Python and SQL, contribute to CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, and lead code reviews focused on quality and long-term maintainability. You will tune systems for performance and cost, optimizing Databricks notebooks, dbt models, and Snowflake queries to meet SLAs without unnecessary cloud spend. Working closely with the Reporting team and product managers, you will deliver data products that directly support business decisions for Growth and Emerging Business.
You will operate effectively within Agile sprints, owning your commitments and communicating progress transparently. As a primary on-call responder for pipelines in your domain, you will own incident triage and resolution, translating learnings into platform improvements.
