Our foundation is built upon a large global portfolio of more than 100 datacenters and 1 million servers, managed by subject matter experts supporting over 1 billion customers and 20 million businesses in more than 90 countries. With environmental sustainability and optimization at the forefront of our design and operations, we continue to evolve to meet ever-changing business demands, maintaining Microsoft's position as a world-class cloud provider.
As a Data Center Technician Manager on the U.S. Government Airgap team, you will play a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's dedicated online services supporting the U.S. Government. While this specific team maintains a sharp focus on serving U.S. Government customers and helping them achieve federal missions, you will operate within the broader context of our global datacenter operations.
In this position, you will lead a team of technicians, ensuring they are trained on procedures for installation, deployment, and quality checks. You will model our culture and leadership principles by empowering your team through coaching and accountability. Your day-to-day involves managing service delivery, analyzing performance data, and ensuring compliance with strict Data Center Services policies and security procedures. You will foster a positive team environment, prioritize work to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and act as a bridge between technical execution and stakeholder communication during service incidents.
This position requires candidates to meet specialized security screening requirements, including an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance. Verification of this clearance is mandatory prior to an offer of employment. Additionally, successful candidates must pass a Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and every two years thereafter. Citizenship verification is also required due to legal restrictions supporting U.S. federal, state, and local government agencies.
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled. The role will remain open for a minimum of 5 days.
