Data Center Project Manager

TRCTalent is partnering with a rapidly growing firm that offers clients more than just space and power. They provide a comprehensive lifecycle platform, ranging from customized turnkey development and construction to 24/7 facilities management.

This full-time Project Manager role is based in the Chicago (Grayslake) area and requires onsite work Monday through Friday. The position is designed to support Senior Project Managers and Directors within the firm's Development group, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

In this role, you will serve as a critical link between the firm and its external partners. You will manage the full project lifecycle—from design and construction through commissioning and tenant coordination. A key focus is maintaining clear, consistent communication with customers, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams while ensuring contractor teams implement best-practice safety procedures.

You will provide strong design oversight to ensure plans meet lease commitments, support operational and Uptime requirements, and control cost exposure through effective collaboration with the design team. The role involves managing and monitoring project budgets using Yardi and Procore, proactively tracking exposures, and working closely with contractors to stay within financial targets.

The successful candidate will have at least one year of experience with a major general contractor and specific data center construction experience. This role requires the ability to travel frequently if not local.
