About the Role

Computer World Services Corp (CWS) is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Data Center Manager to provide technical leadership and operational management for enterprise infrastructure supporting the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) mission systems. This role is critical in ensuring the availability, performance, and security compliance of the data center environment, aligning strictly with Federal and NIH IT standards.

In this position, you will supervise and coordinate the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of network hardware, operating systems, and supporting infrastructure services. You will provide direct oversight across both physical and virtual environments, including VMware, Windows, Linux, storage, database platforms, backup and recovery systems, and Citrix environments. Your work will ensure that mission-critical systems operate with optimal stability while adhering to strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

The Team and Mission

As part of the NIEHS IT ecosystem, this role supports a federal mission dedicated to environmental health research. The Data Center Manager acts as a bridge between technical operations and government requirements, ensuring that infrastructure supports the agency's research goals without interruption. The team operates in a hybrid environment that requires deep expertise in legacy systems as well as modern virtualization and cloud integration.

Requirements
