About the Role
The Data & Analytics Specialist serves as the primary reporting and data subject matter expert for the PrismHR ecosystem. This position is designed to transform complex HR, payroll, benefits, and compliance data into accurate, actionable insights for both internal teams and external clients. By leveraging SQL-based reporting, PrismHR Report Center, and Power BI dashboards, you will bridge the gap between raw data and strategic decision-making.
In this role, you will partner closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and Technology teams to understand business and regulatory reporting requirements. Your work will translate these needs into scalable reports, dashboards, and data models that drive operational efficiency and meet client expectations. The ideal candidate possesses strong SQL skills, a deep understanding of HR data structures, and a passion for building clear, reliable, and well-governed reporting solutions. You will play a critical role in ensuring stakeholders have timely access to trusted data while continuously improving reporting performance and usability.
Work Environment
This position operates on a hybrid model, requiring three days in the office and two days working from home. You will report directly to the Director of Product and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDesign, build, and maintain custom reports and queries using PrismHR Report Center and SQL
- check_circleDevelop and publish Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards integrating PrismHR data
- check_circlePartner with internal teams to gather reporting requirements and define metrics
- check_circleEnsure data accuracy and integrity by validating source data and implementing reconciliation processes
- check_circleOptimize report performance through query tuning and efficient data modeling
- check_circleSupport end users through report training, documentation, and troubleshooting
- check_circleCollaborate with HRIS vendors and technology teams to assess reporting impacts during system updates
- check_circleIdentify opportunities to automate recurring reports and reduce manual data preparation efforts
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business, Human Resources, or related field
- verifiedStrong experience writing and maintaining SQL queries
- verifiedHands-on experience with PrismHR Report Center or similar HRIS reporting tools
- verifiedExperience developing Power BI reports and dashboards including data modeling and DAX
- verifiedSolid understanding of HR, payroll, and benefits data concepts
Nice to Have
