This position is designed to build robust data analytics and strategic insights capabilities within the Office of the Deputy Provost and the Office of the Provost. The Data Analyst will serve as a critical partner to university leadership, working cross-functionally to interpret organizational data needs and deliver data-driven strategic findings that shape key initiatives.
As a data steward for the Office of the Deputy Provost, you will manage faculty data and represent the office in broader Data Governance discussions. Your work will focus on increasing data literacy across the organization to foster a culture of data-driven decision-making. You will document data collection and reporting processes to ensure efficiency, transparency, and data integrity while collaborating with deans' offices and the Division of Strategic Analytics (DSA) to enhance data quality and usability.
You will analyze complex datasets spanning financial, HR, platform, and academic program data to address urgent organizational needs. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to developing dynamic dashboards to track key performance indicators for executive audiences. You will also create compelling presentations to communicate strategic, data-informed recommendations to senior leadership, including Vanderbilt's Board of Trustees. Additionally, you will conduct market research on labor trends and competitive insights to support strategic planning.
