The Cytology Laboratory Supervisor serves as a pivotal leader within the Anatomic Pathology Lab, ensuring the seamless day-to-day operation of the department. You will direct department activities with a focus on operational functions, managing equipment, materials, and supplies while maintaining rigorous safety standards.
In this position, you will not only oversee daily workflows but also actively participate in the bench when needed. Your day involves setting up new methodologies, developing procedural protocols, and acting as a key owner, writer, and reviewer for lab procedures. You will serve as a mentor to new staff, conducting team huddles and in-services to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
