About the Role
As a Cybersecurity Risk Management Subject Matter Expert, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes in strict compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) policy DoDI 8510.01. This position is designed to provide expert guidance in system risk mitigation and to advise the J683 on managing authorizations within the USINDOPACOM Area of Responsibility (DAO).
In this capacity, you will facilitate various Area of Responsibility (AO) Authorizations and offer specialized expertise in security categorization, control selection, and compliance assessments. You will serve as a key liaison between system owners and leadership, ensuring that cybersecurity controls are validated and that the Security Authorization Package (SAP) is accurately updated and reviewed. Your work will directly contribute to the security posture of critical DoD systems, ensuring they meet rigorous federal standards.
