SPA has an immediate need for a Cyber Security Engineer to join the Security Engineering and Administration Branch. In this role, you will perform Software Cybersecurity Systems Engineering while partnering with Compliance personnel to engineer key cybersecurity functions. Your work will directly support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process for tactical systems, ensuring their security posture, resilience, and dependability meet rigorous Department of Defense requirements.
You will be instrumental in identifying and mitigating system security threats throughout a system's lifecycle. This involves validating security requirements, formulating documentation, and coordinating certification activities. You will design and interpret models within MagicDraw/Cameo, assist in leading cybersecurity process improvements, and provide technical evaluations of system equipment and software against applicable NIST controls.
Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and possess a valid US Secret security clearance. The role may require travel up to 10% per year. Please note that this position requires compliance with DoDD 8140 Systems Security Analyst-Basic standards.
