About Year Up United

Year Up United is an intensive, one-year or less job training program designed to empower young adults through in-classroom skill development, access to internships, and personalized coaching. The program offers four unique career pathways, combining technical and professional training with mentorship to help participants launch their careers.

About the Customer Experience Pathway

If you are passionate about building relationships or possess an entrepreneurial mindset and wish to gain exposure to running a business, the Customer Experience pathway is designed for you. This track combines training in Banking or Customer Success with access to internships and job placement support through YUPRO Placement, our industry-leading talent placement firm.

Internships may be secured at leading organizations in the Wilmington area, including JPMorganChase and Bank of America. The program focuses on developing a customer-centric mindset, comprehensive finance training, and essential business and communication skills. Graduates are equipped with interviewing, networking, and resume-building expertise to support their professional launch.

Year Up United is committed to tangible results: 72% of graduates are employed and/or enrolled in postsecondary education within four months of graduation. Employed graduates earn an average starting salary of $53,000 per year. During the internship phase, students receive an educational stipend of $525 per week.

Eligibility and Application

To apply to Year Up United, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Be a high school graduate or GED recipient.
• Be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Be available Monday through Friday for the duration of the program.
• Be highly motivated to learn technical and professional skills.
• Not have obtained a Bachelor's degree.
