This position is responsible for providing our passengers with superior customer service from behind the ticket counter, on the station floor, or on the platform. You will be the face of Amtrak, greeting and servicing each passenger to ensure their general comfort. Your day will involve assisting customers with special needs, helping with luggage, and guiding passengers during boarding.
You will serve as a key information hub, disseminating verbal and printed details regarding schedules, fares, routing, city highlights, and intermodal transportation. Ensuring timely train boarding is critical; you will verify that passengers are properly ticketed, possess the correct travel documents, and meet baggage requirements before they access the station platforms. Additionally, you will handle checked baggage, package express, and company materials both in the station and on or off the train.
