Texas A&M AgriLife brings together a college and four state agencies focused on agriculture and life sciences within The Texas A&M University System. As the nation's largest and most comprehensive agriculture program, it is uniquely positioned to improve lives, environments, and the Texas economy through education, research, extension, and service. With over 5,000 employees and a presence in every county across the state, the organization serves as an established leader in its field.
The Customer Service Associate III serves as a knowledgeable resource for stakeholders across multiple State agencies and vendors, staffing the TechBuy store to support AgriLife Education, Extension, Research, and business operations. This role is designed for experienced technology professionals who enjoy helping people choose the right hardware but prefer to leave late nights, weekends, and sales quotas behind.
You will act as a technical liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors, translating technology requirements into accurate purchasing decisions and supporting special order requests. The position focuses on optimizing performance, matching specs to real needs, and working regular hours in a professional, service-focused environment. This is not retail sales; there are no commissions, no nights, and no weekends. Instead, it offers an opportunity to build a career with State benefits while providing comprehensive customer service and administrative support.
To apply, please include a cover letter, resume, and references. You may upload these documents in the CV/Resume section of the application. All positions are security-sensitive. Employment is contingent upon the institution's verification of credentials and the completion of a criminal history investigation.
