The Custodian I at Lewiston High School plays a vital role in maintaining the district's educational environment. The primary mission of this position is to ensure school buildings operate in a state of excellence, presenting no interruptions to the educational program. By keeping facilities clean, secure, and well-maintained, the custodian supports a safe and productive atmosphere for students and staff.
This role involves a dynamic mix of indoor and outdoor responsibilities. Daily duties include cleaning and preserving designated spaces, restocking supplies, and assisting visitors with directions and equipment setup. Seasonal work includes grounds maintenance such as snow removal and lawn care. During the summer months, the focus shifts to deep cleaning tasks like stripping, scrubbing, and waxing floors, as well as moving furniture to prepare for the new school year.
